Over the five years I have worked at Marymount, I have been fortunate enough to speak to alumnae from different eras and walks of life. Whichever path they have chosen, they will often return to speak to today?s students, sharing what their experience has taught them since taking the International Baccalaureate (IB) at Marymount. It is at these talks, with students eagerly participating in lively conversation, that we can discern the true value of an IB education. The IB Diploma is a forge that shapes students? raw potential into individuals ready to tackle an ever-changing world. While the academic rigour is undeniable, the true value of the IB lies in the life skills it infuses in its students. Beyond the equations and essays, five fundamental lessons resonate beyond the walls of the classroom, equipping Marymount graduates with the tools to navigate the evolving terrain of life, where change is the only certainty.
