The London Magazine congratulates Godolphin and Latymer, the first winner of a prestigious new category at the Independent Schools of the Year Awards 2023
At a packed awards ceremony in central London, the winners of the Independent Schools of the Year awards were announced earlier this autumn. Among them, a new category, London Independent School of the Year, sponsored by The London Magazine, which this year was awarded to Godolphin and Latymer School in Hammersmith.
The award, launched by Independent School Parent magazine, recognises not only the exceptional quality of London schools, but their ability to use the opportunities of the capital to enrich the lives of pupils. In addition, the award highlights the achievements of schools which create partnerships in their local communities. Godolphin and Latymer?s outstanding entry impressed the judging panel of headteachers and leading figures within education, chaired by Dr Helen Wright, the former President of the Girls? Schools Association. They were up against impressive competition from finalists Alleyn?s, Francis Holland School Regent?s Park, Ibstock Place and Wetherby Senior.
