Many of our tutors and clients at Titanium Tutors have been asking us whether they should be moving their lessons online as a temporary measure given the global COVID-19 situation.
At the moment the official UK government advice is that only those with symptoms need to self-isolate. For those who are strongly opposed to online tutoring it is still possible to continue with face-to-face lessons for now, as long as sensible safety measures for tutoring during coronavirus are observed.
However, for maximum safety and peace of mind, I would strongly recommend that you consider online tutoring as a temporary measure. There is very little to be lost from giving it a try, and if for any reason you?re not convinced after a few sessions you can always switch back to in-person sessions as long as neither the tutor nor student are showing any symptoms of coronavirus. Online tutoring services such as Titanium Tutors have seen a recent increase in demand for such sessions, and this is particularly the case in China, where schools have been shut down.
