The countdown to Christmas is on, and London’s busiest and most beautiful streets are already dressing up for the occasion. Here’s where you can see the best Christmas lights in London 2019.
Oxford Street Christmas lights

The new-look Christmas lights on Oxford Street have been glittering away since Thursday 21 November, with 27 LED light curtains (made up of over 220,000 sparkling lights) draped over the length of London’s busiest shopping hub.

Always one to buck the trend, Carnaby Street has collaborated with ocean conservation charity Project 0 this year to create a stunning sustainable display, which has been made using reusable and recycled materials. Featuring 200 illuminated vampire squid, giant clusters of jellyfish, and ? remarkably ? a five-metre long whale that blows bubble, this festive installation is sure to go down as one the capital’s finest.
