This 4-year-old’s thoughts about the new Aladdin film are so on point
If you were a kid in the ’90s, there’s a good chance you’ve seen (and loved!) the original animated version of Aladdin. Disney recently released their new live-action take on the classic film, complete with a huge update?for better or for worse, we’ll let you decide. But what we didn’t expect was that kids’ reactions to the story of Aladdin and Princess Jasmine would also change with the times.
Yep, in the wake of the #MeToo movement, many parents are more focused than ever on raising their daughters to be strong independent young women. That’s why when four-year-old Madison Jade had some thoughts about Princess Jasmine’s lack of independence, she made sure to speak her mind. Take a look:

You tell ’em, girl! Now, to be fair, Princess Jasmine in both versions of the movie is one of the more independent and strong-willed princesses who says she doesn’t need to marry a prince to be happy.
