For GCSE and A-level students, Easter holidays always used to be as much about revision notes, mind maps and practice papers as chocolate bunnies and pastel coloured eggs. The spring blossom signals it’s time for that final push before exam season begins and this year – for the first time since 2019 – public GCSE and A-level exams are back. But it?s not quite that simple for these year groups…
What to expect from GCSE and A-level exams 2022
Independent schools worked hard throughout the pandemic to continue to provide a first-class education to their students. As Guy Sanderson, headmaster of Eltham College explains, ? When the pandemic hit, we transitioned to remote learning swiftly and ran ?live? video lessons throughout.? But pupils have had two years of disrupted exam seasons. ?Upper Sixth students did not sit GCSE exams in 2020, so A-levels will be their first major, public exams. We?ve put an extensive study skills programme in place to ensure that students are as prepared as possible for this year?s formal examinations.?Â
