Are you in the throes of winter sicknesses"
There are least three different illnesses making their way through our school right now. Coughs, strep, stomach ailments... you name it and I can find a poor kid suffering from it right now.
When my littles are not feeling well, they do a lot of extra resting and cuddling on the couch. We watch movies, and listen to music, and at some point, we'll grab a pile of books and do some reading together.
These books help kids know they're not alone. They can share in their sniffly suffering with bears, dinosaurs, and llamas...and hopefully laugh a little with them, too. It is, after all, the best medicine.
