A DIY BOB stroller rehab from a confessed craft novice

I put my beloved single BOB stroller on sale on Craigslist last month. I received a number of inquiries, but only one stood out to me: Another mom, who was looking for a single BOB stroller, asked if I wanted to trade. Since I'm in need of a two-seater it seemed like a match made in heaven.
The stroller was in fair condition. All the right parts worked, but the fabric was sun-faded and the foam handle was torn. Here's my 5-year-old helping me model it. After going online and finding a couple DIY blogs posts, I became inspired. I had hopes of this being an afternoon project. Ha! Life (school prep, travel, the flu...etc) managed to derail those well-intentioned plans.

I tried to get my hands on a replacement foam handle from BOB directly, but they only sell an entire handlebar replacement for $70 plus. I tried eBay and Amazon too. No luck. So I hunted for a cost-effective solution. If you're doing your own rehab and just want to buy the BOB replacement, you can find your part on BOB's replacement website. Have your serial number available so you can order exactly what you need for your stroller type.
