An easy way to make a home away from home for your baby

Nothing could have prepared my son Jamie for the family he was born into. Loud and social, we love getting together to eat, hang out, and laugh. There were a few times when my baby was teeny tiny when the noise would bother him, but now he's used to it. He moves his head from side to side, gazing at whoever's talking, and kicking his little feet when the conversation gets especially good. He fits right in!
We spend a lot of time at my in-laws' house where most of the social gatherings are held. We're over there just about every Sunday after church, and several times during the week, especially in the summer. Although my son enjoys the festivities, there are times that I have to pull him away to tend to his needs. Sometimes I have to change his diaper. Other times he needs to be nursed. Every once in awhile, he'll start wailing like a banshee, and I know that he's overstimulated and needs some rest.
Because this house is like our home away from home, it's easier for us to keep a small stash of things there that our baby might need. I like not having to drag things from our place to theirs every time we come over. It also makes pop-up visits easier. My super-smart husband put together a home-away-from-home bag stuffed with diapers, clothes, and everything else Jamie might need while visiting with his grandparents. According to my husband's list, that includes:
? A washcloth
? Baby wash
? Lotion
? Hand sanitizer
? Two blankets
? Two ...
