Father's Day photos: This is what falling in love looks like

by Carolyn Robertson posted in Mom Stories
?Sometimes I think my papa is an accordion. When he looks at me and smiles and breathes, I hear the notes.? There are countless great quotes about fatherhood, but this one, taken from a novel called The Book Thief, is so beautiful that it stuck with me.
My girls are lucky enough to have an amazing dad. Like all-time, major leagues, record books amazing. Watching him become a father has been one of the most unforgettable parts of parenting. Seeing him with our daughters makes my heart ache in the best way possible.
There is something so entirely wonderful about the way a father loves his children. It starts from the moment they first meet, a love story that has no end. It's that mix of pride and wonder. It's that fine line between wanting to gently push them beyond their boundaries and needing to shelter them from any looming storm. Philadelphia photographer Tammy Bradshaw has managed to capture all of that in this sweet series of photos for Father's Day.
Tammy admits that watching a brand new dad start to fall in love with his brand new baby is one of her favorite parts of her job as a family, maternity and birth photographer.
"I love getting to see all the ways that new babies can instantly make dads - and moms for that matter - more vulnerable, more aware of their purpose," she tells BabyCenter. "Photographing parents getting lost in details of their children is what it's all about for me."
Thanks ...
