Last Sunday -- which happened to be Mother's Day in the UK -- a giant, inflatable boob with an impressively detailed nipple sat atop a building in London.
Yep. A huge, air-filled tit. And the reason it was there is awesome. The shocking display was actually part of an awareness project by the creative agency: Mother London.
"It?s hard to believe that in 2017 UK mothers still feel watched and judged when feeding in public, by bottle or breast," reads a blog post from Mother London. "This was our Mother?s Day project. A celebration of every woman?s right to decide how and where they feed their children without feeling guilty or embarrassed about their parenting choices. #FreeTheFeed"
Ana Balarin, the executive director at Mother and also a new mama, shed a little more light on the inspiration behind the unconventional display.
"Whatever your choices in life, you shouldn't be judged," Balarin told Creativity. "Feeding shouldn't be taboo, it shouldn't be hidden and mothers shouldn't have to shy away from being mothers. But for many, they do. We wanted to show how this can be blown out of all proportion."
I have to say I'm loving the intricate details that went into designing this nipple. (Wow, that's a phrase I never thought I'd type.) They even included the bumpy glands -- called Montgomery glands -- on their statement-making breast. Now it just needs some stretch marks, a few stray hairs and may...
