My first child was a Maltese named Ravioli. I can?t describe how much my husband and I loved that puppy. He was our baby and just the most awesome dog.
I was looking through the entries in the Our Awesome Pregnancy Announcements Photo Contest in the BabyCenter Community and I was touched by all the announcements starring the family pet. It isn't completely surprising. I think many of us have a pet before a child. But, I think it shows how much our pets are at the heart of a family.
When we announced that our first child was on the way almost ten years ago, it was in the age before the social media pregnancy announcement. Which is kind of funny because it was so different and not really that long ago. But if it happened today, you can bet your life that Ravioli would have starred in that photo pregnancy announcement. I wouldn't have had it any other way. So without further ado, the sweetest pregnancy announcements starring the cutest pets. I'll bet you can't resist smiling at these.
