See what you capture when you keep your camera handy for a month

I have a thing for photo challenges. Whether I?m photographing my baby?s first 365 days, doing a weekly bump photos, or just photographing a moment of our lives every day, there?s almost always a project going on.
Because of this, I?ve gotten into the habit of always having my camera with me. Usually it?s in my purse--which is actually a camera bag I?ve re-purposed as a purse.
This weekend I decided to take my kids to our neighborhood park, half a mile down the road. My daughter just learned how to ride her bike, and my son loves riding his little balance bike. I have been running alongside them as they pedal down the sidewalk.
I debated leaving my camera at home for this little adventure, but at the last moment I stuffed it in a soft lunch bag then into my backpack and I slung it over my shoulders before we ran out the door.
Once we got there, the kids--balls of energy as they are--took off up and around the playground. I sat down and regained my strength for a few minutes before jumping up for a game of tag. As we were playing, some other kids arrived with an adorable German Shepherd puppy that was completely attached to his squeaker toy.
I brought my camera over to photograph him. I said hello and pet the puppy and quickly realized there was no getting that toy away. My son, daughter and niece found that so amusing and took it upon themselves to team up against the pup. What ensued was pure joy.
And with my camera in hand I did my bes...
