While nude pregnancy shoots and bare-the-bump bikini shots aren't hard to come by, there are women out there struggling to find maternity clothes and swimwear they feel comfortable wearing. For some, it seems, less-is-more is the opposite of true -- and more(fabric)-is-more is the way to go.
Recently I saw a post in which one woman asked her fellow females, "What can I wear instead of a bikini"" Quite a few suggestions, from tankinis to surfer shorts rolled, then user enquicity wrote: "If you want really modest, I love my Modli swim dress," and I stumbled into the world of "intentionally modest" clothing.
Nava Brief-Fried, co-founder & CEO of the shopping site, has "a vision for a vibrant, accessible fashion world, a place that would be endlessly chic and intentionally modest." "Within months it became clear that Modli was filling a need for women worldwide as a few hundred customers quickly turned into hundreds of thousands," the site's About Us page continues, and Modli's nearly 50,000 Facebook fans appear to serve as proof.
At first glance, much of Modli's maternity wear isn't so different from what you might find elsewhere.
